On December 29, 2023, the courts granted a motion for a Preliminary Injunction related to SF496. The Norwalk Community School District will continue to adhere to SF496 to the best of our ability, aligning with other schools across our state. With this recent decision and consultation with our legal counsel, school districts have clearer guidance on SF496 and its intended purpose. In response to the injunction, we have been advised to replace the books back on the shelves until the court has resolved the issues in question.
